The Nagoya City Science Museum is a comprehensive science museum equipped with one of the world’s largest planetarium domes with an inner diameter of 35 meters, where you can enjoy learning about science.

The exterior design emphasizes the spherical shape of the dome, the planetarium, and instantly catches the eye.

In addition, there are four large exhibits rich in entertainment value, including aurora images in a room at minus 30 degrees Celsius and a device that allows visitors to experience a 9-meter-high artificial tornado.

The planetarium at the Nagoya City Science Museum is one of the largest in the world and holds a Guinness record!
With a dome inner diameter of 35 meters, it reproduces a starry sky that is close to the real thing.

You can enjoy commentary with a different theme each month, using the latest video and computer graphics technology. Take a journey one step further into the universe while experiencing the mythology of the stars and the mysteries of the universe.

Surprise and excitement! A science experience full of entertainment

There are large-scale exhibits that can be enjoyed with all five senses, such as the “Extreme Cold Lab,” a room at -30°C where visitors can experience aurora images, and the “Tornado Lab,” a 9-meter-tall artificial tornado.

In addition, there are electric discharge experiment shows and experiment and demonstration shows, allowing visitors to experience the wonders of electric energy and science. Children and adults alike are sure to be enthralled by the world of science!

Access from Fushimi Station on the Higashiyama and Tsurumai Subway Lines.
