Toyohashi is famous as the birthplace of the Tezutsu Fireworks, which attract many tourists during the Toyohashi Gion Festival in July. The Atsumi Peninsula, located at the southern tip of the prefecture, is also a popular place for the cultivation of cabbage and melons.
Toyohashi and the Atsumi Peninsula are home to Toyohashi Zoo and Botanical Park, Toyohashi Museum of Natural History, Atsumi Peninsula Tourist Bureau, Cape Irago Lighthouse, and Sante Parc Takahara, among other tourist attractions.
